Having said that, let us introduce ourselves to you. Here’s a brief introduction to our team:
Victoria Berry, CPA – Director
Victoria holds a Bachelor of Business from the Queensland University of Technology and has over 15 years experience in business management and accounting. A qualified CPA, she focuses on helping local businesses with their accounting and taxation needs. Victoria is also a Life Member of the Maroochydore Surf Life Saving Club, a supporter of her local community, and a registered JP.
Tricia Bielby, CPA – Director
Tricia joined HBA Encompass initially as our Self-Managed Superannuation Specialist and was admitted as a Partner/Director of the firm from 1 July 2011. Tricia’s expertise and knowledge with superannuation matters is second to none. Tricia is highly skilled, very experienced and enjoys working with clients to achieve their financial objectives in the lead up to, and post retirement.
Daren Cardow, CPA – Director
Daren has a Bachelor of Business from Monash University. Daren has a reputation for offering high quality personalised services and is known for his ability to communicate often complex accounting and taxation issues in a manner which is easily understood without compromising his professionalism. Daren receives immense enjoyment from assisting clients on their journey to achieve their financial and lifestyle goals. Daren believes in providing tailored services to meet the individual needs for all his clients.
Desley Ellison – Accountant (Superannuation)
Desley completed her Bachelor of Business (Major in Accounting) through Central Queensland University in 2006. Her professional career has included 5 years in Emerald, Central Queensland, with Harris Houlihan Holzwart, working mainly with primary production clients. Since joining HBA Encompass, Desley has become an integral part of our “Superannuation Team” and has gained a thorough knowledge in SMSF administration.
Teena Coman – Accountant and MYOB Consultant
Teena has a Diploma in Business (Accounting), a Cert IV Workplace Training & Assessment and has been a MYOB Certified Consultant since 2002. Teena has worked as a MYOB Consultant in accounting firms on the Sunshine Coast and in Melbourne for the last 12 years. Teena has presented various MYOB Seminars and assisted clients with their data files and BAS’s. Teena previously had a MYOB Consulting and training business on the Sunshine Coast for 17 years.
Penny Heilmann – Accountant
Penny began her accounting career as a junior accountant, in a public practice office in Launceston, Tasmania in 1986. The practice client base covered a large sector of Northern Tasmania. Penny spent many years in Tasmania working in the bookkeeping field, for small business operators, using MYOB and QuickBooks accounting software. Since moving to the Sunshine Coast, She has worked as internal company accountant for a medium sized business group, including BAS and End-of-Year reporting, payroll preparation and associated reporting. Penny joined the team at HBA Encompass in June 2012. One of her achievements in the last year has been recognition as a Xero Certified Advisor.
Emma Baxter – Trainee Accountant
Emma comes to HBA Encompass with ten years of experience in financial services namely Financial Planning, Banking and Leasing. She is a recent graduate of a Bachelor of Commerce degree, majoring in Accounting from the University of the Sunshine Coast. Emma’s academic achievements also include a Diploma in Financial Markets and a Graduate Certificate in Financial Planning.
- Paula Mirar – Trainee Accountant
Paula is a recent graduate of the University of the Sunshine Coast having completed a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting and minor in Financial Planning and Business Law. She has 3 years of public practice experience on the Sunshine Coast. Paula is one of our newest staff members but is ready to take on whatever challenges come her way.
- Holly Lee – Trainee Accountant
Holly completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration at Yonsei University in South Korea. After she graduated she worked as an Assistant Manager in a public institution working for the Government of South Korea. Holly came to Australia to study Accounting and start her career as an Accountant. She completed her Master’s degree in Accounting at the University of the Sunshine Coast. Holly is now an associate member of CPA Australia, planning to start her CPA certification. She can speak basic Chinese and is, of course, fluent in Korean. Holly is also one of our newest staff members and is very thrilled to start her accounting career at HBA Encompass.
Jakki Weeks – Receptionist
Jakki is the happy voice that greets you at first contact with HBA Encompass. With over 20 years experience in customer service roles of a diverse nature, Jakki understands no two people are the same and loves getting to know anyone who walks through the door to deliver a unique personalised experience. She is the “Jak” of all trades and juggles many tasks in her role as HBA Encompass’s receptionist.
Sharron Hayden – Client Services Assistant
Sharron Hayden is one of HBA Encompass’s Client Services Assistants. Sharron has been in client services for many years having owned her own business. She loves the fast paced and progressive environment at HBA Encompass and enjoys the many varied challenges encountered on a daily basis.
Kayte Ratcliffe – Client Services Manager
Kayte started with HBA Encompass in April 2005 as our receptionist and has since progressed to Manager of our Administration department. Kayte has completed a Certificate 3 in Financial Services and has an abundance of client background knowledge and a thorough understanding of our firms structure.
Anita Cardow – Administration (Superannuation)
Anita is one of our key admin staff with a wealth of experience. She has held many various positions in commerce, local government and public practice. Anita is also an important part of our Superannuation team.
Leilani Kyle – Marketing/Administration Assistant
Lani is the link to ensure all our team members are able to offer the highest level service to all our clients. Lani handles all of our internal and external correspondence and provides general assistance in all administrative areas. She is also the marketing guru of the office.
